Produced by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), this unit plan is about the Ukrainian Orange Revolution (2004-2005) and is designed for teachers to implement with Grades 9 to 12 students in Social Studies, World History or World Geography courses. The unit plan includes three lessons that explore articles from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948), democracy and good governance within the contexts of Ukraine’s Orange Revolution and Canada. The lesson plans include background information, curriculum links, outcomes, assessment suggestions and recommended resources.
