Teacher Resources
Produced by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) this resource kit is designed to educate high school and pre-university students about the right to freedom of expression. The kit aims to empower students with knowledge of issues and concepts so that they may become critically aware and engaged citizens. The kit includes seven “toolboxes” that focus on topics related to freedom of expression. Background information, definitions and reflection questions are included in each section. The final section provides a case study so that students can apply their knowledge. Also included is a glossary, list of suggested resources and copies of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) as well as the Constitution of UNESCO (1945).
